Heat Awareness

Working in the Arizona heat isn’t just uncomfortable—it can be dangerous if you’re not prepared. High temperatures can quickly lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, or even heat stroke, especially during physically demanding janitorial tasks. Stay ahead of the heat by drinking water frequently, taking regular breaks in cool or shaded areas, and wearing lightweight, breathable clothing. Pay attention to warning signs like dizziness, excessive sweating, or nausea, and look out for your coworkers as well. In extreme heat, awareness and early action aren’t just important—they’re what keep everyone safe on the job.
